Blueberries are prized for their flavor and versatility. Beautiful, versatile and delicious, blueberries are one of nature's most nutritious foods. They are wonderfully pop-able eaten alone, but can be tasty additions to pancakes, muffins, yogurt, bowls of cereal, fruit salad and many other options too numerous to mention. For all these possibilities, fresh, sweet blueberries contain only about 80 calories per cup. A one-cup serving also contains 5 grams of fiber, about 20% of the recommended daily amount. In addition, blueberries contain vitamin C, potassium and folate, and have no fat, cholesterol or sodium.
