Facts of Interest:
Blueberries are prized for their flavor and versatility.  Beautiful, versatile and delicious, blueberries are one of nature's most nutritious foods. They are wonderful eaten alone, but can also be tasty additions to pancakes, muffins, yogurt, bowls of cereal, fruit salad and many other options too numerous to mention. For all these possibilities, fresh, sweet blueberries contain only about 80 calories per cup. A one-cup serving also contains 5 grams of fiber, about 20% of the recommended daily amount. In addition, blueberries contain vitamin C, potassium and folate, and have no fat, cholesterol or sodium.

Stemilt harvested its first crop of blueberries in 2005, and hasn’t looked back since. Stemilt Blues are grown in premier regions of eastern Washington, including Stemilt Hill and the Columbia Basin. These locales benefit from an arid climate and rich volcanic soil that produce large, dry and firm blueberries perfect for popping in your mouth or including in a yummy dessert.
