Stemilt’s Artisan Organics have our commitment to fruit excellence and years of experience in organic growing and packing behind every box we sell. Stemilt has been growing organic tree fruits since 1989. Today we call our line of organic fruit Artisan Organics.
Our 23 acre compost facility
A little organic background...
Stemilt built the first designated organic packing plant in the state. Located at Chelan Falls, Washington, this packing house is dedicated to handling only organic tree fruits assuring that:
- Artisan Organics are never packed on the same line as conventionally-grown tree fruits
- Artisan Organics receive handling specific to organic products
In addition....
- Stemilt was one of the first tree fruit organizations to invest heavily in organics
- Today Stemilt farms over 2,000 acres of organic fruit, making us one of the largest organic growers in Washington
- Today Stemilt produces 28% of Washington's organic apples and 30% of the Northwest's organic pears
