Take our cherry orchards, for instance. Stemilt has orchards from 700 feet to 3,200 feet elevation. Our season starts in California in May and extends into mid-August on Stemilt Hill in Washington. Our high-elevation orchards allow us to grow late-season cherries, bringing you World Famous Cherries all summer long.
And don't forget Stemilt's imported tree fruits. The miracle of controlled atmosphere storage keeps apples and pears fresh most of the year so consumers have these tree fruits nearly year round. When Washington inventories dwindle in the summer, Southern Hemisphere orchards fill in supplies.
And in late June to the end of August, Stemilt World Famous Blueberries are in the house. The warmth of the Columbia Basin and the cool temperatures of Stemilt Hill offer the very best mix of growing conditions for non-stop blueberry fun for two delicious months.
