Having a dinner party?

Granny Smith Apples

In under an hour, you can fill your home with the welcoming aroma of freshly baked apples and notes of vanilla and cinnamon. While you’re setting the table and plating dinner, your Granny Smith Apple Dumplings can be baking away in the oven making your guests ask, “what is that amazing smell?”

I can’t count how many times I’ve forgotten what everyone looks forward to the most at a dinner party or celebration, and that is a crowd-pleasing dessert every time. Dinner is great, but after it’s over, I know I’m not the only one who scopes out the kitchen for some kind of dessert to satisfy my sweet tooth. I’m never looking for much, but I am looking for convenience, simplicity, and maximum deliciousness.

These Apple Dumplings come in handy!

What makes these dessert dumplings extra convenient is they can be eaten right away with cold vanilla ice cream to cool down the steamy, sweet, and tart filling. If you don’t have vanilla ice cream, I’d recommend a generous sprinkle of powdered sugar for an additional dose of sweetness!

This Granny Smith Apple Dumpling recipe stays under 15 ingredients and the most involved step in the process will be when you fill the dumpling dollops with cinnamon-apple goodness! Buying pre-packaged dough ahead of time will also eliminate the extra step of making the dough yourself, so all you have to do is roll it out and get to wrapping your dumplings.

A recipe like this is also easy to modify and allows for more experimentation with homemade dough, plant-based butter, or plant-based ice cream!  Once you decide to try these addicting Apple Dumplings, let us know in the comments below how you enjoyed them and if you have a favorite apple to substitute in this recipe!
