Apple Blondies with Maple Glaze

|

Fall is nearly here! I can hardly believe how quickly the summer went. We spent the third week of August vacationing at the shore, and the weather could not have been more summery and perfect. When we got home, it was like someone had flipped a switch. Suddenly the weather was still perfect but not at all summery. The temperature had dropped, along with the humidity, and now here we are with the most gorgeous cool, breezy, and sunshine-y days. I’m loving it.

And I’m feeling so inspired to dive in to Fall baking! That crisp air just begs for something warm and cinnamon-y baking in the oven. These apple blondies are the answer. They whip up in a snap and they make your whole house smell incredible. Perfect for an after school treat!

I recommend baking them with SweeTango® apples! They’re juicy and sweet and just lovely for baking. This bar recipe features brown sugar, maple, and a hint of cinnamon, and it really allows the bright flavor of the SweeTangos to shine!

I hope you’ll give apple blondies a try!

I’ll pass this along to Allie. Let us know how it goes if you do try it, Eddie!

  • This is in the oven now. I’ve never had a Blondie so I’m not 100% sure what I’m going for but the batter tasted very good! I added more fall spices, as I didn’t think such a small amount of cinnamon would do it for me. I’ll let you know how it turns out!
