We’re letting you in on a secret and it’s sure to shake up your (non-alcoholic) happy hour. What is it? We like to call it the three “Ss” of mocktails – sweet, savory and sparkling. By sticking to this approach, you’re sure to make delicious drinks in no time.

Haley Davis of Brewing Happiness teaches you how to make apple mocktails in this video series. Featuring our Honeycrisp, Fuji and Piñata® apples, you’ll learn how to make a Candy Apple Daiquiri, a Spicy Apple-Rita, and a fizzy Apple Tonic. Ingredients

  • 1 Stemilt Fuji apple, chopped
  • 3/4 c apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric, ground
  • 1/4 c ginger, ground
  • 16 oz sparkling water

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan combine apple, vinegar, water and honey. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a low simmer.
  2. Reduce the liquid by approximately 1/3 then turn off heat and stir in turmeric and ginger.
  3. Allow mixture to cool before straining through a fine mesh strainer, squeezing the apples as much as possible.
  4. To assemble the drinks, add 4 tbsp (2 oz) of the tonic syrup to an appropriate size glass. Then fill with 4 oz of sparkling water.
  5. Any unused tonic syrup may be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month in an airtight container.

  • 1/4 c lime juice
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • 1 serrano chile
  • 2 1/2 c water
  • 1 tbsp salt, coarse
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ancho Chile, ground
  • 1-2 c ice
  • 4 arbol chile

Instructions

  1. Combine apple, lime, agave and serrano in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer. Let cook for 5 minutes then turn off heat.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool before straining the apples through a mesh strainer, squeezing as much juice out as possible. Reserve the apples for later.
  3. In a small mixing bowl combine salt, sugar, and ancho until a uniform mixture has been made.
  4. In a bowl big enough to fit the glasses you’re going to use, add the cooked apples and then place a glass rim side down into them to line the rim with a bit of moisture.
  5. Immediately roll the rim in the salt mix and set aside until all glasses are lined.
  6. Divide the ice between the glasses then pour the juice in equally.
  7. Garnish with an ancho chile and enjoy!

  • 5 tbsp lemon juice, split 1 tbsp and 4 tbsp
  • 1 1/2 c water
  • 1 c ice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp grenadine

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss together 1 tbsp lemon juice with diced apple. Place apples onto a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 8 hours (or overnight).
  2. Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until a uniform texture has been made. If needed, stop the blender and scrape the sides down halfway through.
  3. Divide the mix between two highball glasses and top each one with 1 tbsp grenadine.
  4. Top with apple slices and a straw.
