Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups fresh Artisan Organic peach chunks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 tsp cinnamon
This cake is moist and fruity, and more like a muffin than a cake – makes a yummy breakfast or a not so sweet dessert.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream together 1/2 cup butter, 1 egg and 1 cup of brown sugar.
- Then mix in, 1 cup of buttermilk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Add 2 cups of fresh peaches and pour into a greased and floured 13x9 baking pan.
For the topping:
- Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup of chopped nuts and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
