Four-Ingredient Cherry Dump Cake For Lazy Baking Days

|

I don’t know about you guys, but I like easy recipes. Specifically, the kind where I can pronounce the words and the items are things I can find in the store without having to circle the whole place twice. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I like a challenge in the kitchen. Whether it’s baking with some trendy food item I saw on my Facebook feed or simply attempting to cook something that may be above my skill level, at least I’m learning something either way. If you caught yourself saying, “Yes, that’s me!” to any of those statements, then you NEED to try this Cherry Dump Cake that only requires FOUR INGREDIENTS! Yes, four ingredients. Can I get a high five?

With only two pounds of fresh Stemilt dark-sweet cherries required, a splash of orange juice, one box of yellow cake mix, and some butter, you got yourself a pretty easy recipe that results in a piece of heaven on a spoon.

Honestly, the hardest part about this recipe is probably opening the box of yellow cake mix (and maybe pitting the cherries – but if you do it with this cherry pitter, it goes twice as fast). Once the cake has baked and is warm, add a scoop of ice cream or a nice plop of whipped cream for a delicious and easy dessert.
