When my diet starts to revolve around burgers, BBQ, slushies, cocktails, and ice cream in the summer months, that’s when I know it’s time to pull out those staple salad recipes to freshen it up.

It truly has been an odd start to summer for us Washingtonians, barbeques and evening pool parties are just over the horizon (I hope,) but we’ve hardly begun establishing our indulgent summer pallets.
