Our family is proud to be among the pioneers of the sweet cherry industry. It all started a century ago after the first generation of Mathisons planted a few acres of cherries atop the high-elevations of Stemilt Hill near Wenatchee, WA.

With its fertile soil, plentiful water supply, and arid climate that remains cool during even the hottest periods of the summer, Stemilt Hill is known ‘round the world for its ability to produce large, firm, and flavorful sweet cherries.

Since those early years, we’ve expanded our program in order to supply cherries from late April (from California) all the way until the beginning of September (from our 3,500 ft. late-ripening cherry orchards located above Stemilt Hill). On the packing side, we’ve taken great measures to maintain the freshness of sweet cherries through a complex cold chain system, modern packaging, and by quickly transporting fruit from the field to retail stores worldwide.
